Aeronautics’ Remote Video Terminal (RVT) is a compact, man-portable field unit that receives real-time video images directly from a remote platform (Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV), helicopters, fixed wing etc.) independently of any Ground Control Station.
Features:
-
Displays video images received directly from the remote platform.
-
Displays a digital map with the platform's location coordinates and payload's line of sight to target coordinates.
-
Display console is worn over soldier/operator’s protective vest.
-
Antenna extends from backpack
-
Optional Video Display Eyepiece
-
Weighs just 5 kg
-
Reception range from remote platform: up to 30 km.
-
Powered by internal battery (rechargeable from vehicle battery) or standard AC/DC power sources
-
The RVT standard interface ports can operate with any external interface.
Deployment and use of the RVT increases the flexibility and utility of the ISR system by placing its surveillance information in the hands of field commanders who are located with forward army units in the vicinity of the mission area.
With the RVT, field commanders can exploit intelligence capabilities in real time, without being burdened with tasks of deployment, launch, flight control and recovery (all of which are handled from the Ground Control Station and Launch & Recovery Station, located far from the battle zone).
